Today’s speakers and programs

Our 1st speaker was Lou Amico.  Lou represents the county workers and was here on his own time to advise the club of effects the proposed county budget cuts will have on the county park system.   Among may items he listed as impacts are: Job losses including his own, Public Safety Issues (All park guards will be put to part-time and this will leave the parks unguarded during the week), Abuse and Deterioration of structures, Grounds Maintenance impacts and affects on county program run at parks.

Out second speaker was Ram Shrivastava.  Ram is a Pittsford Rotarian.  He is chair of the District Environmental Committee.  The purpose of the committee is to promote the Preserve the Planet Earth program.  This program will focus the attention of all Rotary - the individual Rotarian, clubs, districts, and RI - on the worldwide critical need to preserve the resources of our planet, including its soil, water, atmosphere, and other natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
