Announcements:

Tom Shay – 26th annual Ziti Dinner will be held on February 2nd at the Diplomat Party House.  A traditional post-ziti ritual will be held.

 

Oct. 26 is the date for the Club Fellowship Clambake – Ralph Annucci is this year’s chairman.  The location is yet to be determined. Festivities will begin in the early afternoon and last until - ???

 

Doug DeVey announced that the scholarship, friend of education award will be held the evening of Wednesday October 23rd.  See Doug for details.

 

Oct. 27 is the Al Sigl Walk About – Roger Boily is coordinating for the club.  To date, Greece will sport a team of 8 or 9 members.  Brochures available

 

Oct. 30 is the Eastern Cities Dinner in Rochester at the Riverside Convention Center.  All clubs in District 7120 to attend and hear from RI President.  Club is picking up $400 of tab on this so out of pocket expenses should be minimal, if any at all.

 

Tracy Wooten has pamphlets detailing the GED graduation program to take place at Greece Olympia H.S. on October 30th at 7 PM.  See her for more info.

 

Kim Putnam asks that club member give generously to the Polio Plus program.  Checks are to be made out to Rotary International but should be given to Kim so she can account for the total club membership’s contributions.

 

Today’s program and Speakers:

Mr. Salva Dut spoke of his experiences fleeing the civil war in his native country of Sudan.  He expressed gratitude to the USA for helping him achieve his GED and to pursue a college education.
