Margaret Hare Brown dinner – Greece Marriott October 23rd.  Ralph DeStephano or Doug DeVey will be providing more information in the upcoming weeks.

Congressman Tom Reynolds will be the featured speaker at the Greece Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday October 17th from 11:45 AM – 1:30 PM.   As a result of the congressional re-districting this year, the vast majority of the Town of Greece now is within Congressman Reynolds’s new district.  Service organizations and clubs in attendance will be recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Greece Chamber of Commerce.

Rosa Smith-Montanaro has volunteered as our club’s Public Relations coordinator.  There will be a meeting next week to address opportunities to enhance our club’s public relations efforts.  Any ideas or to help out, contact Rosa.

Oct. 26 is the date for the Club Fellowship Clambake – Ralph Annucci is this year’s chairman.  The location is yet to be determined. Festivities will begin in the early afternoon and last until - ???

 

Sunday, February 2, 2003 ZITI DINNER - The Diplomat is booked and mark the date down today for our 26th Annual Ziti Dinner and largest fundraiser.  All Rotarians are required to work that day and spouses, guests and friends are welcome to pitch in as well.  Tom Shay is this year’s chairperson and he is currently forming his committee.   Look for tickets and posters soon.  Tom is looking for volunteers to help out.  Contact Tom for opportunities.

 

November 2nd is the District Leadership Conference.  Club has budgeted $400 for sponsoring attendees.  Contact President Bill for details and to sign up.

 

The club is working with the town of Greece to select a site for planting an oak tree to commemorate Rotary’s 100th anniversary.  Any suggestions for a public site for the tree are welcome.

 

Dave Nagel announced the winners of this year’s new membership drive participants.  The two top recruiters for new members were Rosa Smith-Montanaro and Rino Pappano.  Each will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.  In Rosa’s case she wants her’s to McDonalds!

 

Oct. 27 is the Al Sigl Walk About – Roger Boily is coordinating for the club.  To date, Greece will sport a team of 8 or 9 members.  Brochures available.

 

Oct. 30 is the Eastern Cities Dinner in Rochester at the Riverside Convention Center.  All clubs in District 7120 to attend and hear from RI President Bhichai Rattakul.  The club will share the cost and a sign-up sheet will be circulated next week.

 

Oct. 19 is the closing work detail at Camp Haccamo.  This is a Saturday and volunteers are encouraged to contact Chuck Krause

 

Today’s program and Speakers:

Today’s speaker was Linda Keefe the CEO of Shared Results International.  She shared her story of how Shared Results through its training and consulting functions transforms an organization into a unified entrepreneurial workforce.  She works with both private and non-profit organizations.
