Announcements:

·         The club has once again received additional positive correspondence with regards to the dictionary distribution project.

·         Rich Vogelzang indicated that we are 11 weeks from the annual Ziti Dinner (1-27-08).  The minimum expectation of every club member is $250 in ticket/ad sales.  Overall goal is $45,000 in gross sales.  Placemats are $200/ad and include ten tickets.

·         Ed D’Angelo recognized veterans in attendance.

·         Jim Gaudet mentioned there are three board spots available.

·         Judy VanBramer still has books available.  She also reported that the food collection at Wegmans on November 3rd went extremely well.

·         Diane Berardicurti indicated that juniors from each high school class can be nominated as oratorical candidates - $50 sponsorship available for each student.

·         Dan Barletta reported that wine label designs need to be submitted by November 19th.

Today’s Guest Speakers: Betty Griswold & Betty Erickson of the Greece Ecumenical

Food Shelf, providing donated food and clothing to people in need living in the Town

of Greece and the City of Rochester north of Ridge Road West since 1977.  They

handle 8-10 calls/day.  There are a total of 250 volunteers assisting with the many

facets of the operation.  Each family unit receives three boxes of non-perishable items,

 which represent about a week’s supply.  This is supplemented with fresh items that

are purchased as needed.
