Today’s Program

Speaker:  David Dimbleby, Hilton School district Superintendent.

1.One of their many goals is to start with early elementary education to prepare the students for a changing, exciting and uncertain world.  Connecting what students  do in school with the real world.  Utilize resources that are available.  Help students to understand that their learning is continuous.  Greece School district will have zero wait for Pre-K in 2007.  Hilton will have some Pre-K opportunities based on available funding and space.  The district’s primary initiative is instructional framework.  Student in 9&10 grades can self select courses.  In 11 & 12 students can choose IB,AP, & Career Technical (for engineering & others). Equal Opportunity for every student.  Plan to have an IB at Quest elementary.  Planning to have a HS. Success Academy for the 4% that is not meeting standards.  Hilton has great athletic fields.  Will have an HVAC mechanic in the budget.  Enhanced Star effective in September ’07 once info received from Albany.  Power point presentation distributed

50/50   Dan Barletta drew the winning card,  the ace of diamonds.  Dan graciously donated the winnings to the Greece Rotary Hilton Scholarship Fund.
