Today Program & Speaker: Dr. John Cooper, Superintendent from Hilton School District, Steve Ayers, Asst. Superintendent and Christine McCaffery principle from Northwood Elementary on North Greece Road.
Dr Cooper and Steve Ayers gave a presentation about this year Hilton School Budget that is going before the voters on May 21st. The $46+ million budget is up 1.14% from last year. Projected tax rates for Greece are 6.59% over last year, but down from &.94 % increase first reported on April 9th. This adjustment in tax rates is due to changes in assessment figures from Greece. Projected tax rates per $1,000 of assessed value are $21.42 for homes in Greece in the Hilton School District.
