  • Joe Darweesh brought to the attention of the finemaster the following statement from last week’s Beacon “7-day letter on Jim Gaudette If approved, Jim would bring our membership up to 96 members – just 3 short of our goal of 100.  4 members in 40+ days – We can do it!” After consulting with Liz Richardson who helped this editor while he was at another volunteer function.  It was determined that both Liz and this Editor used the Republican “Fuzzy Math” calculator when we can up with these numbers.

Today Program & Speaker

Dr. John Cooper, Superintendent from Hilton School District, Steve Ayers, Asst. Superintendent and Christine McCaffery principle from Northwood Elementary on North Greece Road.

Dr Cooper and Steve Ayers gave a presentation about this year Hilton School Budget that is going before the voters on May 21st.  The $46+ million budget is up 1.14% from last year.  Projected tax rates for Greece are 6.59% over last year, but down from &.94 % increase first reported on April 9th.  This adjustment in tax rates is due to changes in assessment figures from Greece. Projected tax rates per $1,000 of assessed value are $21.42 for homes in Greece in the Hilton School District.

50/50 - Al Wallace
