Rotary and their two camps, Camp Haccomo and the Sunshine camp are the beneficiaries. Wegman’s is the major sponsor of the event and contributes $250,000.00 to the tournament. If the LPGA were not held the assessment per member to operate the camps would be $450 per member per year. There are 15 clubs in the area that participate. Club members are asked to volunteer for 3 shifts during the week to staff a concession tent. Last year our tents sold over $37,000.00 worth of food and refreshments. The next closet tent in sales was at $28,000.00. Our tent is located between the 11th Tee and the 17th green. Club members can bring friends relatives or any one else to help at the tent. It is a great way to introduce someone about Rotary. Three years ago, 14 Greece Rotarians took and passed a 6-hour course on food preparation and handling put on by the Monroe County Health Dept. This course was required by Wegmans and LPGA for us to operate our food concession tent during the LPGA event for the last 3 years. It is required by Monroe County Health Dept. that at least one certified person be present while our tent is operating. And Health
