Today’s program and Speakers: Sam Liotta from the American Red Cross. His purpose today was to inform the club of a Blood drive to be held at the Greece YMCA. The drive will take place Tuesday July 23rd from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The goal is 40 units. It takes about one hour to donate.
This drive is important because blood levels are very low. Some surgery will have to be cancelled if there is not enough blood. One unit of blood can help 3 people.
Sam asked the club to help. This can be done by: 1) club members coming to donate 2) Asking family member, friends to donate 3) Getting the word out about the blood drive. Sam had posters and flyers for member to place at their businesses.
