bought a Lexus ES300 automobile. He
is also going on a trip to the Florida Keys next week and paid fines for both. Ø

fined for her first lunch. Ø

fined for beer he drank at Ziti. Dr.
Strauss will be fined at a later date since he was not at the meeting today. Ø
Mike Taylor
paid announced his son Erik started walking recently and volunteer to pay a
fine. Ø
Frank Vella
burned his hand cooking Ziti sauce. He
had won 2nd place in the attendance guess for ziti and contributed
back some of his winnings to the club. Ø
Joe Darweesh
as a past president fined Tom Shay our fine master for not disclosing he went
pheasant hunting. Ø The following paid fines for missing meetings: Tom Nolan, Gene Noga, Rich Vogelzang, Paul Pickering, Larry Waye, Gil Cooper, and Laurel Harrington.

Road
Trips for Greece Rotary The
club will be on the road for only three weeks this year, instead of the usual
four. Wed

March 6th – Holmes Road School Sign up sheets will be present at the weekly meeting so a count can be made for the preorder of lunches. If you sign up for a meeting and do not attend you will still have to pay for the lunch.
Ziti
Dinner –
Ralph Annucci told the club he had received a final bill form the Diplomat for
the dinner and that there was a hefty charge for beer on the tab. Moneys
collected to date are approximately $25,000.00 with promised from members of
more money.
Today’s
program and Speakers: Rosa
Smith Montanaro was our guest speaker today.
She told the club about the Bridges Initiative she has become involved
with through the GCSD’s Community Education program. Bridges
offers alternatives to students, ages 16-20, who are at risk of dropping out
of high school or who have already left school.
The program offers different options for the students involved. These options include: Transitional Equivalency Program, High
School Transition Programs, Virtual High School and GED classes. All
components of the Bridges program are located at the Community Learning Center
at Greece Ridge Center Mall. The
services offered are: Individual and small group tutoring, Counseling and
referrals, Workplace skills, Computer classes, Vocational training, and Job
referral and coaching. The
students are asked to make a commitment to their success through: Good
attendance, Serious effort, Cooperation and hard work, Participation in job
training, Internships or paid employment and Sustained progress towards their
goals.
