Greece Post will have Rotary publications

Regarding Polio Plus (2/15), invitation to luncheons,  (3/8 – 3/22)

and a column by Liz Richardson. (3/29)

 

Chuck Krause also reminded everyone that LPGA raffle tickets can be sold by organizations as a fundraiser.  Please contact Chuck for further info.

 

Ralph Annucci announced the Diplomat only charged us $1,000. 

 

Bill Testa contributed the can returns to the soccer team.

 

Golf Shirts are still available for $10.

Greece Rotary on the Road – Ridgemont CC will be closed from 2/14 – 3/7

Sign-up sheets will be on the tables at the next couple of meetings.  If you sign up and don’t attend, you will still be charged.

 

PREVIOUSLY:

 

·         Ed D’Angelo announced that our road trip on February 14th to the Greece Town Hall has changed to the Westside YMCA.  The revised line-up is:

           

            - Mar 7th at Strong Museum

·          Dan Hedberg spoke about a) the need for a VP at Camp Haccamo for the next two years, b) the silent auction at Mother of Sorrows on Feb 10th and c) the availability of an ethics award nomination form from the Rochester Business Alliance.

 

}       May 4 to 6 - Conference at Turning Stone

}       June 15 - Installation dinner at Lakeshore CC

 

Today’s speaker:  Will Gallagher

 

No scheduled speaker today but our wonderful host Will Gallagher from the YMCA stated the following:

o        Growth for the YMCA exceeded its expectations.  1st year hit 5 yearr quota.

o        11-12,000 members at Elmgrove.

o        13-14,000 members at North West.

o        New members receive a passport to attend all YMCA locations.

o        75 – 80 % members are families.

o        Check your HMO for gym credits.  $300-$400 a year through Healthy Lifestyles.

o        North Point will open the new Splash playground in June.

o        Teen programs available for After School and Youth and Government.

o        2 million dollar expansion for Elmgrove.

o        Elmgrove is based on 6 acres and North West is on 8 acres.
