President Del opened the meeting by ringing our newly repaired bell. The bell survived the necessary surgery to fix it. Del presented the bill for the repair to Dr. Strauss who had previously stated he would be very glad to pay anything to have it fixed. Dr. Strauss was a little overcome when he opened it and found the cost to be $360.00. It was later explained to him the bill presented was a hoax. Dave Hammerbeck repaired the bell at no cost to the club or Dr. Strauss.
